The OBI office is still open and operational to manage any
maintenance or warranty queries associated with the 9,150
Goals installed through the Initiative. The information provided
below details a quick summary of all the services offered
to existing Site Co-ordinators and how to access them. |

Maintenance Cover
Every OBI Goal has a maintenance service agreement provided though
the Initiative, to maximise the useful life of the Goals. The Goals
are designed to be extremely durable and long lasting inevitably
however, a number of the Goals may require attention during the
period of use. The Site Co-ordinator, in line with the 'Conditions
of Participation' is responsible for ensuring that they immediately
notify the OBI office of any damage caused to the backboard(s) and
or Goal(s).
A five year maintenance programme is provided by the OBI who will
pay for travel and labour costs in relation to any replacement or
repair necessary to the Goal. The price of all replacement parts
must be covered by the Site Owner unless the fault is deemed to
be a manufacturers defect in which case the part will be replaced
under warranty and at no additional cost.
Site Co-ordinators are reminded that they are responsible for ensuring
that backboards are kept in a clean condition, free from graffiti.
Maintenance
Inspections
A maintenance inspection will take place mid term approximately
thirty months after the installation of every Goal, except
where a hot-line call out has been requested within the previous
6 months. This inspection will attend to any faults and provide
maintenance as necessary.
Site Co-ordinators will be advised in writing by the OBI when
the mid term maintenance inspection will be carried out.
Hot-Line Service
An emergency call out service is operated through a telephone
hot-line at the OBI Office with a technical response by telephone
within 48 hours and, if deemed necessary, a maintenance team
visit to the Site within seven working days. In exceptional
circumstances, where safety is a concern, a maintenance visit
to Site can be arranged within two working days. Only the
registered Site Co-ordinator can request the hot-line service.
This service is available for five years from the date of
installation. The costs of travel and labour are again covered
by the OBI, but any replacements parts will be charged at
cost. |

All the above costs include the necessary fixing bolts. The Site
Owner will be responsible for paying the OBI Official Supplier direct
in accordance with the Supplier's normal invoicing terms.
